Quito and the planning bulimia
Second issue of the “City Portraits” signed by Daniele Lauria. Qui-to or city “in the middle of the earth”, as the Indians called it, is caught in the grip between recession, privatization and globalization. Phenomena towards which the numerous urban plans drawn up by the capital of Ecuador had not effect. Anyway, it is possible to highlight some interesting projects for the recovery and reuse of the historic center.
