In 2017 Studio Lauria started the restoration project of the “Pagliere Reali” building, built in 1870 on the edge of the Boboli Gardens. The building, managed by Uffizi Galleries, will be reused as a multifunctional space for events.
The works were planned in several functional lots, the first of which was financed by the University of Florence through one of its subsidiary companies, with the recovery of the spaces to their original spatiality.
The second lot of work will be carried out in the second half of 2020.
Among the most suggestive spaces, the double height “scannafosso” (a drainage space). It is 80 meters long and can be used for visual arts exhibitions.
