The planned work on the grandstand of pitch no. 1 at the Coverciano Federal Technical Centre involves renovating the rooms under the grandstand with new facilities and refurbishing suitable technical rooms; functionally upgrading the grandstand and, above all, installing a roof, also with a view to supporting the installation of a photovoltaic system.
With regard to the latter intervention, it is planned to construct a laminated wood roof with pairs of continuous pillar-beam elements, crossed near the line of maximum projection, which will be fixed to reinforced concrete uprights with adequate foundations without interfering with the structure of the grandstand. The project has already received the necessary authorisations and will be put into production in 2025.
