Palacete do Carmo, Sao Paulo

Studio Lauria, in collaboration with CTE, is coordinating the preliminary study for the urban regeneration of the Palacete do Carmo building complex in the historic center of São Paulo. Adjacent to Praça da Sé, the early 20th-century building, with approximately 8,600 square meters of built area, has been in a state of neglect for a long time. The project includes the restoration of the valuable architectural components, the renovation of the building with the aim of creating a functional mix, and the construction of a new 3,900 sqm building.
