Studio Lauria collaborated in designing for the competition launched by UNESCO for the restoration, reconstruction and expansion of the famous Al Nouri Mosque in Mosul, partially destroyed by ISIS in 2017. Our Studio supported ZHA in the drafting of the Master Plan and in urban restoration strategies to then focusing on the design of the Mosque also thanks to the experience of Ornella Mariano and Alessio Mattu
