Studio Lauria was commissioned to design the PEBA (Accessibility Plan) for the Accademia Gallery, famous for housing, among many other works, Michelangelo’s David. The project will ensure the widest possible accessibility for users and visitors, with specific attention to a wide range of disabilities (physical, cognitive, and sensory). It will also foster maximum inclusion and usability of the museum’s spaces, services, and activities.
Studio Lauria has already conducted similar studies and projects for other museums (including the Bargello Museum, Orsanmichele, and the Medici Chapels) and historic buildings in general, developing specific expertise and sensitivity.
